The firm, now more than 20 years in service, was established in 2003 in the name of S.R. Tan & Company. It subsequently expanded into a partnership. In 2005, the firm was renamed S.R. Tan & Tan after Ms Tan Kah Chen joined. It has grown extensively since 2008 with Mr Lim Yek Lai, Ms Tan Li Cheng, Ms Raswandra Keng Chu and Ms Liew Xiao Wei entering the partnership, increasing its strength both in term of number of practitioner and staff as well as practice coverage.
The Firm currently has five offices respectively in SS15 Subang Jaya (Selangor), USJ Taipan (Selangor), Klang (Selangor), Tanjung Sepat (Selangor) and Johor Bahru (Johor) consisting of nine lawyers and over thirty supporting staff. Our Senior Partner namely Ms Tan Kah Chen is also appointed by the Chief Justice of Malaysia as the Commissioner For Oaths to provide related legal services to the public.
The Firm is at all times insured under the Professional Indemnity Insurance Scheme for a sum of not less than Ringgit Malaysia Five Million (RM5,000,000-00). We are ready and prepared to increase our insured limit as and when the needs arise.
